Athena was a powerful goddess in Greek mythology, known for her wisdom, strategic intelligence, and military prowess. She was the patron goddess of the city of Athens. She wore a helmet and carried a shield and a spear.

According to myth, Athena was born fully grown and armored from the head of her father, Zeus, after he swallowed her mother, Metis. She was known as the goddess of wisdom and was associated with crafts such as weaving and pottery, as well as with military strategy and tactics.

In addition to her role as a patroness of Athens, Athena was also a guardian of heroes heroes, including Perseus, Heracles, and Odysseus. She is pictured here in profile in her helmet.
